I’m at my hotel for the night in London. Made the mistake of turning on my phone seven I landed and racked up a quick hundred bucks in data charges just with the phone syncing…thanks, T-Mobile, for decreeing that bytes of data are somehow exceptionally more costly over here. So I’m on the hotel WiFi now. Finding the hotel with only as cached version of Google Maps and without letting the GPS catch up was a brief adventure, but I made it without as wrong turn on these disorganized streets.
Friendly hotel, the Hoxton. Off in a minute for some lunch and a walk probably down to the Tower of London, which isn’t far from here.
Later on, meeting up with Al and possibly some of his work mates for a pint. Tomorrow afternoon, it will be back to Heathrow and on to Nepal via the UAE.
